Our client is a leading manufacturer of medical devices components and pharmaceutical packaging. Operating exclusively in the plastic injection moulding field, they boast a global client base and in-depth expertise in pharmaceutical and medtech products.
They are now looking for a Technical Maintenance Manager to join their team in Tinahely which offers a closer alternative to commuting from Carlow, Wicklow or South Dublin into the city centre.

Your Role
As the Technical Maintenance Manager, you will be tasked with ensuring our client’s machinery operates at optimum efficiency through a programme of maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.
Specifically, you will plan and execute daily, monthly and annual preventative and predictive maintenance, carry out electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs and optimise machine performance.
Your role will also involve:
– Assisting with production planning and scheduling
– Ensuring machines are safe and efficient
– Implementing Lean techniques across the production floor
– Achieving KPI targets for downtime, maintenance and equipment effectiveness
– Working with equipment suppliers on new equipment, installations and modifications
– Supporting the quality management system
– Leading weekly safety meetings
– Driving energy efficiency
About You
To be considered as the Technical Maintenance Manager, you will need:
– Strong engineering and maintenance management experience, understanding and knowledge gained within a manufacturing environment
– A mechanical, electrical or manufacturing engineering degree or an equivalent qualification
Ideal candidates will also have automation experience, however this is by no means essential.
