The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Our busy regional offices provides vital support to lifeboat stations and beach lifeguards in Ireland and IOM.
It’s an important service where you could be handling enquiries from a lifeboat station or a supplier one minute, and welcoming visitors or liaising with Head Office the next. Whichever it is, you may be the public face of the office so the impression you make is important.
As a Regional Support Team Assistant, your duties will include, general facilities support, events/meetings support, IT support, telephone answering, dealing with queries over the phone and by email. Ordering stores and equipment, booking travel, etc. So, there’s plenty of variety.
To be considered, you will need:
– A customer service background
– Strong administrative and typing skills (RSA II or III, or equivalent)
– Office administration experience
– Extensive IS experience and aptitude
– GCSE level education or equivalent and/or suitable experience
– Excellent telephone manner and two way communication skills
Ideal Regional Support Team Assistants will also have an NVQ (or equivalent) in business administration.
Along with having cost-saving awareness and excellent organisational abilities, you will be team-orientated, with a ‘continuous improvement’ approach, you will show sensitivity and strength in dealing with confidential or emotive information and you will be able to prioritise under pressure. You will be comfortable working in a busy, change environment with a high workload. High standard of accuracy in grammar and data entry is essential.
The core hours for this position will need to be worked between 09:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday.
The closing date for this role is the 27th September 2018. Interviews are scheduled for the 10th October 2018.
