Based in Waterford, our client’s offices are at the hub of an exciting array of international operations. Although your role will involve working specifically on French and English projects, our client has a customer base that extends right across Europe and incorporates the US as well.
Now in their third decade, our client’s turnover exceeds 60 million Euros per year and they provide support in more than 20,000 meetings every 12 months. So, if you are looking for a growing company where people are viewed as the greatest asset, this is the role for you.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing customers’ translation and localisation projects.
Working with a range of sales colleagues from the French and English speaking divisions, you will provide key advice regarding the scope and pricing for projects. You will ensure you are familiar with each project from the outset and have highlighted any potential pitfalls or issues that may be encountered.
You will assign translation and transcription work to relevant colleagues and act as the quality filter for their work, ensuring that each document is correct prior to being passed to a client.
Additionally, for key clients, you will act as the face of the business and will work directly with their representative on specific projects. You will also assist with the recruitment of new Translators.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
– Fluent written and spoken French and English
– A qualification and/or experience in the translation industry
– An interest in working and living in Waterford for a significant period of time – not just short-term
Focused and detail-oriented, as a Project Manager, you must have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent planning and time-management abilities are also key.
