Our client researches and develops innovative, high quality solutions designed to make diagnostic testing more accurate. They are now looking for a Molecular Laboratory Scientist to join their Science Park in Antrim Town.

As a Molecular Laboratory Scientist, you’ll be responsible for performing a range of analytical procedures to support our client’s molecular diagnostic testing activities.
In this diverse role, you’ll prepare samples and diagnostic reagents, as well as operating a range of automated analytical systems.
You’ll train staff in the use of molecular processes, calibrate equipment and perform troubleshooting activities when necessary.
Additionally, you’ll ensure that all documentation and records are completed, securely stored and archived as required.
Your other duties will involve:
– Analysing and submitting clinical proficiency testing programs
– Ensuring that all quality control checks are completed
– Adhering to custody procedures throughout the analytical process
– Completing Fit for Purpose Assessments for clinical assays
Interested? To be considered, you will need:
– A degree (or equivalent) at grade 2:1 or above in Biomedical Science, Biochemistry or a Life Science
– A high level of IT literacy, including proficiency in MS Windows and Office packages
– The ability to analyse and interpret data
Organised and analytical, as a Molecular Laboratory Scientist, you must possess excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to learn and retain information quickly.
Knowledge of quality systems and Health and Safety, including CoSHH, would be beneficial to your application.
