Our client, founded in 2005, is now one of Ireland’s leading renewable energy companies. An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Field Service Technician to join their team.
As a Field Service Technician, you will be tasked with supporting a range of renewable energy projects.
Specifically, your work will involve the installation, operation and maintenance of wood chip and wood pellet biomass boilers, as well as ancillary equipment, including oil and gas boilers, hydraulics, control and monitoring equipment.
Undertaking scheduled maintenance and fault-finding activities, you will provide maintenance and technical support to customers and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation. You will ensure that all safety procedures are followed and preventative maintenance tasks are performed.
As part of your role, you will be required to travel to customer sites, all over the island of Ireland. As such, a flexible approach is key, both in terms of planning and scheduling and staying until the work is completed.
Your other duties will include:
– Developing your technical skills and knowledge
– Sharing your knowledge and imparting skills to other team members
– Updating and maintaining existing procedure and project management schedules
– Staying abreast of industry trends
To be considered, you must have:
– Electrical and/or mechanical services experience, gained in an industrial environment
– A third level qualification in engineering OR a qualification in an electrical and/or mechanical related discipline
– A full driving licence
As a Field Service Technician, you must be analytical and organised with good problem-solving skills. A strong work ethic, hands-on approach and excellent planning abilities are also key.
Knowledge of heating systems would be an advantage.
