Our client researches and develops innovative, high quality solutions designed to make diagnostic testing more accurate. They are now looking for a Clinical Laboratory Analyst to join their team at their state-of-the-art Science Park in Antrim.

As a Clinical Laboratory Analyst, you’ll be responsible for performing a range of analytical procedures to support our client’s diagnostic testing activities.
You’ll carry out a variety of tasks, including manual and automated screening methods, covering a wide range of clinical diagnostic tests.
Preparing samples and diagnostic reagents, you’ll maintain and calibrate analytical instrumentation and troubleshoot any technical issues.
Additionally, you’ll interpret analytical data and ensure that all documentation and records are completed, securely stored and archived as required.
Your other duties will involve:
– Ensuring that all quality control checks are completed
– Adhering to custody procedures throughout the analytical process
– Collecting and preparing biological specimens for testing
Interested? To be considered, you will need:
– A BSc in biomedical science and a Diploma in Professional Practice OR a degree level qualification in biochemistry, chemistry, immunology or a life science
– Proficiency in MS Office and Windows
Organised and analytical, as a Clinical Laboratory Analyst, you must possess excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to learn and retain information quickly.
Knowledge of quality systems and Health & Safety, including CoSHH, would be beneficial.
Experience of operating automated analytical systems, including any of the following, would also be an advantage: Rx Daytona Plus, Rx Imola, Siemens Immulite XPi, Advia Centaur, Roche Urisys, Sysmex Xs-1000i, Evidence Investigator, Evidence, ELISA and Erythrocye Sedimentation Rate (ESR) Instruments.
