Our client researches and develops innovative, high quality solutions designed to make diagnostic testing more accurate. They are now looking for a Clinical Laboratory Analyst to join their team in Antrim.

As a Clinical Laboratory Analyst, you’ll be responsible for performing a range of analytical procedures to support our client’s diagnostic testing activities.
You’ll carry out various analytical procedures, including manual and automated screening methods, covering a wide range of clinical diagnostic tests.
Preparing samples and diagnostic reagents, you’ll operate various automated analytical systems. Additionally, you’ll interpret analytical data and ensure that all documentation and records are completed, securely stored and archived as required.
Your other duties will involve:
– Adhering to custody procedures throughout the analytical process
– Maintaining and calibrating analytical instrumentation
– Troubleshooting clinical diagnostic testing issues
– Collecting and preparing biological specimens for testing
To be considered, you will need strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office packages.
You will also need at least ONE of the following:
– A degree level qualification in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Immunology or a Life Science OR
– A degree level qualification in Biomedical Science and a Diploma in Professional Practice
Able to learn and retain information quickly, as a Clinical Laboratory Analyst, you’ll have excellent presentation and communication skills. Superb organisational and time-management abilities are also key.
Experience of any of the following automated analytical systems would be beneficial: Rx Daytona Plus, Rx Imola, Siemens Immulite XPi, Advia Centaur, Roche Urisys, Sysmex Xs-1000i, Evidence Investigator, Evidence, ELISA and Erythrocye Sedimentation Rate (ESR) Instruments.
Knowledge of quality systems would also be an advantage, as would knowledge of Health & Safety including CoSHH.
