As an international industrial valve company, our client’s expertise is in the design and manufacture of process critical valves. An exciting opportunity has now arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join the team in Togher on a part-time basis.

As an Account Assistant, you will be tasked with supporting the financial health of the company through controlling the creditor function, assisting the Finance Manager and aiding in the production of management accounts.
Specifically, you will match and check invoices against delivery notes, purchase orders and the purchase ledger. Checking invoice postings, you will prepare and check supplier statements, investigating any discrepancies, and prepare payments for each supplier.
You’ll carry out month-end procedures as they relate to the creditors’ ledger, check and file reports and complete Intrastat returns for imports.
Additionally, you’ll monitor the debtor’s ledger, chase overdue payments, enter cashbook transactions and prepare bank reconciliations.
This is a highly varied, engaging position, that will enable you to maintain and advance your skills in an array of accounting areas whilst pursuing your accountancy career ambitions.
Interested? If so, you will need:
– At least two years’ experience in accounts payable
– Excellent data entry and reporting skills
– A strong level of IT literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office applications
Friendly, flexible and attentive to detail, as an Account Assistant, you must also have great communication skills and be willing and eager to help-out and get involved wherever you can.
Experience using IFS ERP system would be advantageous, however this is not essential.
Please note, this is a part time role working Monday – Friday, five hours per day.
